From Tahrir square and the Egyptian Museum, to the Islamic and Christian neighbourhoods, there’s a lot to see in Cairo
It was very hot when I visited at the end of June. And in the heat, everything requires more energy than usual. But the excitement about finally making it to Cairo was more than enough motivation to venture out.
The key neighbourhoods to see are Islamic Cairo (Medieval Cairo or Fatimid Cairo as it is also called) and the Coptic part of the city. Of course, I have a whole video on the Giza pyramids and Sphinx.
